Backed by its construction companies Bordon Construction Company Limited and Chun Yip Construction Company Limited, Nan Fung Group’s construction division provides synergy with the Group’s core property development business of high quality small- to large-scale residential projects, commercial offices, shopping centres, industrial buildings and community facilities.
Emphasising safety first and environmental awareness at all times, Nan Fung Group has won several awards for its use of green materials and eco-friendly designs. This philosophy is supported by an Integrated Management Policy and practiced by both construction companies, to meet all statutory and customer requirements for quality, progress and cost.
Currently, both construction companies employ around 400 staffs.
Bordon Construction Company Limited was established in 1986 and since then has been involved in residential, industrial, commercial and hotel construction projects. In 2008, Bordon participated in constructing community facilities as the main contractor for the Hong Kong Housing Society’s Streetscape and Revitalisation Project.
In 2010, Bordon and China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited formed a joint venture company for a large-scale luxury residential development project at Pak Shek Kok Tai Po, designed by world renowned architect, Foster & Partners. This project is valued at over HKD 2,500 million and has been completed in 2012. Since 2011, Bordon has been included in the Approved List of Contractors for Public Works and is active in the private and public sector construction industries.
Chun Yip Construction Company Limited was established in 1985 and is involved in residential, industrial and commercial developments. In 2008, Chun Yip and China State Construction Engineering (HK) Limited formed a joint venture company to undertake a hotel and commercial development project in Pazhou, Guangzhou, China. This development has a total construction area of 100,000 square metres, providing 499 luxury hotel rooms and an exhibition centre. The total construction is valued at more than RMB 1,881 million.
